Born in 1989, France. Lea Rodriguez Rocha is developing a protean artistic practice combining sculpture, installation, performance, video and photography with a strong desire of collaborations. After studying in Lyon at the School of Fine Arts, Lea attended the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris (Art Espace) where she graduated with honors in June 2015. At KABK School of Fine Arts, The Hague, she worked on different media such as text, micro performance and editing. Knowledges shared by the three schools helped her to access a certain kind of visual and intellectual freedom and to highlight her natural inclination towards writing. She uses the mix of media to find a way to fool her own thinking system regarding that all can be improved and modulated. Her work forms part of an overall process, focusing on a handmade aesthetic (close to crafting). In order to "set" or "fix" the intrinsically unstable pieces, hook systems, attachments and supports are adjusted for every new in situ display.
